You're being bodacious when you follow your passion, try something new, speak your truth, live to the fullest, allow yourself to sing, dance, love and even fail in the process, share laughter, smiles and the love of being alive.
Ask yourself this question daily "What will I do to be bodacious today?" and watch your your life transforms.
Dance to your own steps, sing off key, and do it with joy! Live Outside the Box! This is the Bodacious Way.
Let's start our own movement...the Bodacious Way.
Say it aloud three times. Do you feel it? If not, say it louder and with feeling.
Just saying the word itself conveys a wealth of meaning. Even women who later ask me what it means, perk up when they hear the word, just the sound tickles something deep inside.
This is a word that seems to be coming back into vogue, just Google it and see all the fun things that pop up.
But for the sake of clarity (and because I like looking things up), I looked up some explanations.
Bodacious is a combination of the words bold and audacious.
To be bodacious is to be: impressive, awesome, brave in action, remarkable, prodigious. "Ted, you and I have witnessed many things, but nothing as bodacious as what just happened." "Did you see that top that chick was wearing?? it was totally bodacious" Let me not forget the famous quote from Officer and a Gentleman, "Look at them bodacious set of ta-tas"
From the Thesaurus: awesome, cool, sweet, radical, sexy, tubular, rad, gnarly, amazing, hot, excellent, wicked, great, fine, killer, righteous, voluptuous, dope, sick, fantastic, tight, awesome, badass, fresh, outstanding, uber, crazy, audacious, incredible, beautiful, choice, curvy, magnificent, wonderful, neato, bootylicious, phat, booty, better, good, fly, funny, gorgeous, swell, delicious, fabulous, juicy, full of life, remarkable, prodigious, rare, uncommon, extra ordinary.
I would describe this amber necklace as bodacious for several reasons. The design is bold and big and a little unusual with the funky square beads. It's out of the ordinary because you almost always find amber with silver, not gold. I don't understand that because I think the warmth of gold and amber are a perfect match.
Anytime you go against popular practices and do something because you love it, you're being bodacious.
I've listed a few books by Nell Merino "Stepping Out of Line; Lessons for Women Who Want It Their Way . . . In Life, In Love, and At Work and Mary Foley Bodacious! Career: Outrageous Success for Working Women who I feel are bodacious women. Read what they have to say, and see if maybe, just maybe you'll get an idea of something bodacious you want to do today.
I would love you to hear your comments about what you're doing in your life that is bodacious. AM@BoldBodaciousJewelry.com
